Using Presentations
openlp.org has the ability to import Microsoft PowerPoint presentations (OpenOffice.org coming in version 1.2 of openlp.org) and control them from within openlp.org. Please remember that in order to use this function, you have to have PowerPoint installed on your computer, because openlp.org uses PowerPoint to open and run the presentation.
-
Our first step would be to import the presentation. Go to the Presentation tab in the media manager, click on the "Import" button, and find your presentation.

- Now that your presentation has been imported into openlp.org (as can be seen by it's file name in the list) you need to add it to the order of service. This is done by either simply dragging the presentation from the media manager into the order of service or by right-clicking on it and clicking the Add to Order of Service option.

- From the Order of Service, you can now set the presentation to go live, either by double clicking on it, or by using the popup menu.

- If you edit the presentation outside of openlp.org, you need to re-import it. A simple way of doing this is to use the Refresh option. Right click on the item you want refreshed, and select the Refresh option. Now you can find the updated presentation and it will be automatically re-imported.

- Of course if you want to get rid of this presentation, you can simply delete it. Once again, you can find the Delete option in the popup menu.
