PolyCom LED display board support

This feature may well not have broad apeal, but it's a great necessity in our church to disply the lyrics both over the projector and over a legacy red LED board display - see http://www.overheaddisplays.com/ for an example of what I am talking about.

PolyComp - the company who manufactures these boards, have made the protocol it uses publically available: http://www.polycomp.co.za/protocol.html

Adding functionality that will send the currently displayed text over the serial COM interface to a polycomp board should not be too difficult. Limiting it to the number of lines the board support might be the only challenge. Once I get my hands on some Delphi 7 development tools I might just take on the feature myself.

i think this will be a feature that you have to implement yourself. i do not doubt it getting into the main tree then, but it will probably never get on top of the list ;)

This feature has been requested before, but as paddy indicated, it has a very low priority (there are various issues that need a lot of thinking before we'll decide to implement it).
