New user questions
Howzit all,
Firstly I would like to say that I really like your program. This is exactly what I was looking for.
This is my first post on this forum, and I can't wait to become a regular.
I'm predominantly a Linus user, so my first question is, which version will have Linux support? It's not that important, seeing that I'm still trying to convince the people in my church to give Linux a go.
Then, my feature searches. My most important feature is to loop the video. We play a clip before service, and it usually run for about 10 loops.
Now, my personal want. I found a "rival" program called Dreambeam that has the ability to use Winamp's AVS visualation for a more live effect. In their program you can use that for a lyrics background, but that's not really necessary for my purposes. I only want it for projection on the screen behind our band.
Anyway, hopefully you can shed some light on my needs.
Till next time,
Cheers
E

Hi "E", welcome to openlp.org!

Version 1.0 is. and 1.2 will be native to Windows. There are however reports of 1.0 running under Wine, but we'll have to leave it to you for your own experimentation!
Version 2.0 will be the first true cross-platform version, however this is still in the design stages, so it's going to be a long time before a working beta is going to be available, let alone a final release!

Unfortunately neither of these things is currently possible. Feature requests are however welcome and these should be posted in the feature request forum. Please accept that openlp.org is developed by a small handful of volunteers in their free time, so sadly there are not enough hours in the day to accomodate everyones wishes!
