Delay between slides

Does anybody else see a delay between slides?

I am running the newest version of OpenLP on a Windows XP SP3 machine, amd athlon xp 1800 1.49 Ghz, and 512 Mb RAM

When I move between slides, there is almost a second delay before the change happens. We were running version .99 and the slides would change immediately upon selecting them.

I used the default theme that doesn't even have a background. It didn't make a difference.

Any suggestions for how I can improve this transition speed?

I have been facing an issue with the older version of openLP ie 0.99 running on vista. there is a considerable delay in the slides from one verse to another of a song when projected. I am happy using the .99 version than the new at the moment.

I was not able to import the database I have now built in .99 to the new version and hence like to run .99 on vista still...can you help me with this!!!

Hi uasrinuae.

There is a 0.994 -> 1.0 database importer at the bottom of the Download page that you should be able to use to convert your database.

However I believe this was written whilst 1.0 was still in development and the Bible format changed during this process. So you may also need to run another utility as well.
