Missing Copyright after import in version1.0.1

First, I begin again by apologizing if this has already been addressed.  I couldn't find a like situation.

I am on WinXP Pro, SP2, Office 03 Pro.  After exporting from development PC (same OS and set up, different PC) and importing song list to PC #2 at control booth, all songs are missing Copyright information.

Thanks for any insight and advisement.
Allen

Re: Missing Copyright after import in version1.0.1

hey adowers,

this problem hasn't been adressed if I remember correctly.

Could you send me your exported database for examination?

You will get a personal message that includes my email-address.

thank you for using openlp.org and reporting problems.

god bless you,
paddy

Yes, I'd be glad to send you the database.  It's under development and I've halted moving forward.

Re: Missing Copyright after import in version1.0.1

I've duplicated it, and it is indeed a bug. The copyright info is making it into the export file, but for some reason the import isn't reading it correctly.

Re: Missing Copyright after import in version1.0.1

Hi

i also noticed this bug.  i spent ages on my computer setting out songs and adding copyright info for when i was choosing worship a while ago.  Got all the songs in and the changes sorted, exported my database, imported on a virtual PC win98 setup and imported ok, thought that was the end of story.

when i imported on the church laptop, noticed there was no copyright info.  went bk and checked my virtual win98 and this had none either.

think ur program is great, but this is a bit of a pain as i can only get to the church laptop on sunday!

would you have any news on a possible fix?

thanks and blessings

Andy

Re: Missing Copyright after import in version1.0.1

Hi Andy,

This has been fixed in the next version, however there are still a few bugs for Raoul to fix before he can release it, and he's a bit of a busy chap so you'll need to be patient I'm afraid!

However there are a couple of workarounds:

1. You can copy the entire database file across to the other computer. This can be found at: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\openlp.org\Data\songs.olp (but take a backup of the existing one first, just in case!)

2. You can add the songs you want to transfer to an Order of Service (.oos) file. When you load the oos on the destination machine, it will automatically add new songs to the song database. However don't do this for too many songs as it will take an eternity to save the oos file!
