Romanian Bible

Hello yesterday i found openlp.org and i like it but before i can test it in the church i need to have a Romanian Bible. i have Trait to install it like you told use i the German instruction but it doesn't work like that. i it possible to have a more detail instruction how to make it with the XML and how to insert it in the Program God Bless!!

I think you have the interface and the Bibles confused. The actual openlp.org program can be translated using the XML files.

Bibles can be added using the Bible Wizard. Unfortunately we can't provide all Bibles, so you would have to find a Bible in Romanian that you can convert to CSV (Comma Separated Values, also known as Comma Delimited), and then import into openlp.org. Have a look at the documentation on importing Bibles.

But my problem is more that I found the Rumanien Bible in XML file and in the German Version they have some steps to teak a XML file and convert it to CSV and then but it in the Programme. Now I have don the same but when the Programme inpot the CSV file it has a error. I think if you put a more detail instruction I can find the error and resolve it.

Import Error

There was a problem importing the Books:SQL logic error or missing database - INSERT INTO book (id, testament_id, name, abbreviation) Values (NULL,,"","")

That is the Error Messig that i go have when i inport the Bible

Without seeing the CSV it'll be hard to properly diagnose.

But from the error message it looks like you might have a blank line in the CSV file. Try deleting any blank lines. (Check the end of the file too)

If you have further problems, could you either upload the CSV somewhere, or if you don't have the means to do this, it would be helpful to provide a link the Bible XML you downloaded, and a link to the instructions you used to convert it to CSV.

So i have tray from the beginning and i found some of my errors but now i have a new problem.

 

A now Error: BookDataSet: Cannot perform this operation on an open dataset.

so if their is any possibility to make this work it wot be a blessing to me and my church.

Sadly the 2 years of german lessons I had at school 20 years ago have been long since forgotten! (And somehow I doubt that knowing how to count to 30, asking directions to the beach or ordering a ham sandwich would have helped anyway)

Any translators?

hey there,

it was me who wrote that tutorial - sorry its only avaliable in german since the programm used is german only and it is made for german bibles and doesn`t work well with other bibles than the ones specified.

Any translation can be used aswell, but you might need to adapt some settings or manually edit something.

Please post the output of the OLB Konverter and the openlp.org Bible Import Wizard summary on the last page before actually starting the import to some nopaste site (e.g. http://nopaste.org/). Since that is the most interesting part of the procedure.

If this is not possible (too big), please send it to me via email. You might also want to send me your XML and output files.

I hope we can fix this issue :)
