Timed Slide button disappearing
I've noticed that occassoinally when I load a powerpoint presentation into openlp and then "go live" with it, the button to turn on the timed slides feature disappears. If I go into the options and uncheck then recheck the option the buttom comes back, but I'm just curious if anyone has any idea why this is happening. Also, for playing rolling announcements before the service, does it make more sense to setup the presentation to automatically advance the slides, or would using the Timed Slides feature of openlp make more sense?

Re: Timed Slide button disappearing
I'm guessing it was thought that the timed slides feature wouldn't work for PowerPoints so it was disabled. The fact it does work is obviously a bonus!
The 're-appearing' after going into the options looks to be the unintended action, although I think it could also be changed so the timed button doesn't disappear for ppt's too!
I would say it's probably best to control the timings in the PowerPoint itself (you get a bit more control over timings then as well). Note however that the live panel in openlp won't be updated with the slide as it changes.
